Singapore Addresses the Future of Aging with Intergenerational Community

Singapore officials are hoping to alleviate issues concerning an aging society by adopting a new model for the future of aging. St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged and Hospice is an intergenerational community where young children in childcare centers and seniors living in long term care interact together and share a facility. A courtyard acts as a common area offering an opportunity for spontaneous play and the fostering of meaningful cross-generational relationships.
