Fitness Class Created for People Living with Early Onset Dementia

Robin Meyers, director of community support services for charity Carefor in Ottawa, Ontario came up with the idea of offering a fitness class to people with early onset dementia. Meyers noticed that all of the fitness programs available were tailored to people with Alzheimer’s who are normally 65 and over, and younger clients felt like they didn’t fit in. The program consists of running, swimming and pilates.
