“I’m hoping that one of the things the book establishes is that there is life after Alzheimer’s,” he says. These are the heartfelt words of Bruce McLean, a 91 year old former journalist who recently wrote the book “The Manana Treehouse” — a fictional love story — like the real-life one that inspired it — that is both touching and funny. It is a heartfelt tribute to his late wife, Paulene, the love of his life.
Bruce’s words impart that after a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, there is always life to be lived and when a life is lost the love remains.
