The Early Childhood Montessori Diploma Program prepares the aspiring teacher to work with children from 2.5 to 6 years of age in a Montessori environment or Child-Centered Classroom.
The Early Childhood Montessori Diploma Program is based on the fundamental Montessori philosophy and methodology. This Diploma program will provide in-depth knowledge of the contemporary approach to Early Childhood Development within the framework of the Montessori philosophy. You will acquire the necessary opportunities, skills and practical hands-on experiences to pursue a career as a, skilled, caring, and qualified Directress.
The Montessori Teacher’s College Early Childhood Diploma Program is comprised of detailed theory lectures on Dr. Maria Montessori’s guiding principles of observing and following the child. Materials used by children 2.5 to 6 years of age in Practical life, Sensorial, Language, Arithmetic, Culture, Music and Creativity will be presented and discussed in a prepared environment.
The Internship/Placement is one of the most valuable learning experiences you will undergo, and this will include supervised practice with Montessori materials and simulated teaching in a Montessori prepared environment. Working with children and being guided and mentored by experienced teachers provides you a wide range of real-life learning scenarios. You will gain knowledge on how to observe, facilitate and support children in their developmental growth in a classroom environment. Your internship/placement will provide the practical experiences to apply your Montessori academic knowledge while developing your classroom. Graduating from this program will provide you a MACTE accredited Early Childhood Montessori Diploma.
The Early Childhood Diploma Program requires completion of 400 hours of practicum.
