“A teacher should reflect often upon a child’s predicament” – Dr. Maria Montessori
The Training of Trainers’ Certificate Course Level 2 includes assisting and observing a qualified and experienced Montessori Lecturer throughout at least one program module.
Through these observational experiences, the assistant trainer will learn to observe both through the prism of a lecturer and through the eyes of an adult learner.
During these observation hours, the assistant trainer observes and assists the lecturer in the module subject. This includes assisting with course work, which includes marking of assignments, observations, essays, and previewing albums, and other activities as required. Additional independent study, research and discussions will occur with the mentor lecturer.
The role of the Assistant trainer in Level 2 is to observe and discuss experiences with their mentor lecturer, and record impressions in their reflective journal.
The candidate lecturer will record their observations and impressions under the following headings.
Course Duration: 100 hours approximately, which includes observations, assignments, tasks, discussions, and guidance.
