CCMA Accreditation

CCMA Accreditation of Montessori Schools

The CCMA was founded in 1977 by a small group of dedicated administrators who were committed to supporting each other and promoting public awareness of what an authentic Montessori school offers to families. Montessori Teachers College ( MTC ) is a proud member of the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators ( CCMA ) this which reviews accredited Montessori schools in its effort to offer high quality, authentic Montessori education. CCMA’s mission is to promote standards of excellence in Montessori education and Montessori schools through the process of accreditation.

Montessori Teachers College is pleased to be affiliated with CCMA as the only Montessori Training College. From its inception Montessori Teachers College places many of its student interns and graduating teachers with CCMA member and accredited schools in Ontario and across Canada. MTC and CCMA both believe in promoting standards of excellence in Montessori schools.

Today there are over 110 Montessori schools in the CCMA organization ranging in size from an enrollment of 30 children to larger schools of over 700 students. Infant Toddler, Early Childhood, Elementary and Adolescent programs are all represented within CCMA schools.
